लोकनाथावुभावपि

अहं च त्वं च राजेन्द्र लोकनाथावुभावपि।
बहुव्रीहिरहं राजन् षष्ठीतत्पुरुषो भवान्॥
ahaṁ ca tvaṁ ca rājendra lokanāthāvubhāvapi|
bahuvrīhirahaṁ rājan ṣaṣṭhītatpuruṣo bhavān||
Me and you, Oh King, are both ‘lokanāthā’.
[Only that] I am bahuvrīhi [samās] (लोकं नाथः यस्य सः — one whose guardian is the loka (people)), while you are ṣaṣṭhī tatpuruṣa [samās] (लोकस्य नाथः — one who guards the world, i.e. king).

अर्धमात्रा लाघवेन

अर्धमात्रा लाघवेन पुत्रोत्सव मन्यन्ते वैयाकरणाः

ardhamātrā lāghavena putrotsava manyante vaiyākaraṇāḥ
‘Brevity by half a syllable is considered by grammarians as equivalent to the festivities the birth of a son brings.’ – Consicion was prized by the Indian grammarian to such an extent!
