यद्यद्विभूतिमत्सत्वम्

यद्यद्विभूतिमत्सत्वम् श्रीमदूर्जितमेव वा।
तत्तदेवावगच्छ त्वं मम तेजोंशसम्भवम्॥
— भगवद्गीता १०-४१
yadyadvibhūtimatsatvam śrīmadūrjitameva vā|
tattadevāvagaccha tvaṁ mama tejoṁśasambhavam||
— bhagavadgītā 10-41

"Every such being as is glorious, brilliant and powerful, know that to be a part manifestation of My glory."

उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं

उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत्।
आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः॥
— भगवद्गीता ६-५
uddharedātmanātmānaṁ nātmānamavasādayet|
ātmaiva hyātmano bandhurātmaiva ripurātmanaḥ||
— bhagavadgītā 6-5

"One should lift oneself by one's own efforts and should not degrade oneself;
For one's own self is one's friend, and one's own self is one's enemy."

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोस्त्वकर्मणि॥
— भगवद्गीता २-४७
karmaṇyevādhikāraste mā phaleṣu kadācana|
mā karmaphalaheturbhūrmā te saṅgostvakarmaṇi||
— bhagavadgītā 2-47

"Your right is to work only, but never to the fruit thereof.
Be not instrumental in making your actions bear fruit, nor let your attachment be to inaction."

योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्

बुद्धियुक्तो जहातीह उभे सुकृतदुष्कृते।
तस्माद्योगाय युज्यस्व योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्॥
buddhiyukto jahātīha ubhe sukṛtaduṣkṛte
tasmādyogāya yujyasva yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam

Endowed with equanimity, one sheds in this life both good and evil.
Therefore, strive for the practice of this Yoga of equanimity. Skill in action lies in (the practice of this) Yoga.

योगः कर्मसु कौशलम् is the slogan of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP).

योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्‌

अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते।
तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्‌॥
— भगवद्गीता ९-२२
ananyāścintayanto māṁ ye janāḥ paryupāsate|
teṣāṁ nityābhiyuktānāṁ yogakṣemaṁ vahāmyaham||
— bhagavadgītā 9-22

The devotees, who loving no one else constantly think of Me, and worship Me in a disinterested spirit, to those ever united in thought with Me, I bring full security and personally attend to their needs.

योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्‌ is the slogan of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India.

सम्पत्तौ च विपत्तौ च साधूनामेकरूपता

उदये सविता रक्तो रक्तश्चास्तमने तथा।
सम्पत्तौ च विपत्तौ च साधूनामेकरूपता॥
udaye savitā rakto raktaścāstamane tathā|
sampattau ca vipattau ca sādhūnāmekarūpatā||

"The sun is red at sunrise and red at sunset;
During prosperity as well as calamity, great men have the same form."

The following are some gems that श्रीकृष्णः imparted to अर्जुनः in the भगवद्गीता:
… समदुःखसुखं धीरं सोऽमृतत्वाय कल्पते॥२-१५॥
… samaduḥkhasukhaṁ dhīraṁ so'mṛtatvāya kalpate||2-15||
"… Who is even-minded in pleasure and pain, steadfast, he is fit for immortality"

सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ।
ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि॥२-३८॥
sukhaduḥkhe same kṛtvā lābhālābhau jayājayau |
tato yuddhāya yujyasva naivaṁ pāpamavāpsyasi ||2-38||
"Having gained equanimity in pleasure and pain, in gain and loss, in victory and defeat;
Then arise to fight; thus, you will not incur sin."

दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः।
वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते॥२-५६॥
duḥkheṣvanudvignamanāḥ sukheṣu vigataspṛhaḥ |
vītarāgabhayakrodhaḥ sthitadhīrmunirucyate ||2-56||
"He whose mind is unshaken in the midst of sorrows, who amongst pleasures is free from longing;
from whom attachment, fear and anger have departed, he is said to be a sage of steady intellect."

जितात्मनः प्रशान्तस्य परमात्मा समाहितः।
शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु तथा मानापमानयोः॥६-०७॥
jitātmanaḥ praśāntasya paramātmā samāhitaḥ |
śītoṣṇasukhaduḥkheṣu tathā mānāpamānayoḥ ||6-07||
"For he who has conquered his self, who is deep in peace the transcendent Self is steadfast
in heat and cold, in pleasure and pain, in honour and disgrace."

यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठः

यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठः तत्तदेवेतरो जनः।
स यत्प्रमाणम् कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते॥
– भगवद्गीता ३.२१
yadyadācarati śreṣṭhaḥ tattadevetaro janaḥ|
sa yatpramāṇam kurute lokastadanuvartate||
(bhagavadgītā 3.21)

For whatever a great man does, that very thing other men also do;
Whatever standards he sets up, the generality of men follow the same.
